SIOUX CITY | Marion L. Bielski, 74, of Sioux City passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at a Sioux City hospital.

Per his wishes, the body will be cremated. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, with Deacon Ron Forrest officiating. Private family graveside services will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service Friday at the funeral home. Marion was born on June 7, 1939, in Sioux City, to Marion and Edna (Wyant) Bielski. He graduated from East High School in 1957. Marion worked for years as a foreman for Rosenthal Foods until the closing of the company. He then worked for Buy Rite Pallet until their closing. He also worked for Lieber Construction until his health failed.

He was married to Betty Lang on May 25, 1960 in Sioux City.

He had a passion for watching NHRA Drag Racing and most recently Sprint Cars.

He is survived by his wife, Betty of Sioux City; three daughters, Stephanie (Ronald) Rens of Sioux City, Kathryn (Kevin) Rabb of Sioux City, and Roxane (Mike) Juza of Oahu, Hawaii; two sons, Bryan (Kaye) Bielski of Long Beach, Calif., and Brent (Sue) Bielski of Omaha; eight grandchildren, Ashley and Megan Schlag, Hannah Rens, Dena and May Bielski, Ryan and Tyler Juza, and Matthew Bielski; and one sister, Cookie (Bielski) Ober of California.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Jim Ober; and a nephew, Jamey Ober.
