SIOUX CITY | Bernice Primm, 90, of Sidney, Neb., formerly of Sioux City, passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2012, in Sidney.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sioux City. The Rev. Gregory Hanneman will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City.

Bernice was born on April 3, 1922, in Sioux City, the daughter of John and Anita (Christensen) Hansen. Bernice graduated from East High School.

She married James Primm on July 7, 1944, in Sioux City. He died on Nov. 17, 1993, in Sioux City. Bernice retired from First Federal Bank as a loan officer. She had worked at Home Federal before that.

Bernice had been a lifetime member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and the Women of ELCA. She was a member and past president of the Sioux City Business Women’s Organization.

Survivors include three sons, John Primm and his wife, Donna of Abilene, Texas, James Primm and his wife, Maxine of Greenwood Village, Colo., and Paul Primm and his wife, Marie of Sidney; three grandchildren, Michelle, Alexandra and Fletcher; and three nephews, Robert Hansen of Eden Prairie, Minn., Craig Hansen and his wife, Claudia of Chanhassen, Minn., and David Hansen and his wife, Debra of Des Moines.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; a sister, Alice Boe; a brother, Dwight Hansen; and two nephews, Ronald Hansen and Brent Hansen.
