Funeral Mass for Rex A. Corley, 79, of Council Bluffs will be Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with the Rev. John Bertogli officiating.

Mr. Corley died of leukemia on Nov. 30 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Omaha.

He was born in Dartmoor, W.V., in 1921 and graduated from Philippi High School in 1940. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He farmed and was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Mr. Corley and his wife, Mary Ann, were married 56 years.

Survivors in addition to his wife include four daughters, Dianne Slowey and husband, Jerry, of Pleasant Valley, Mo., Donna Clark and husband, Dr. Thomas Clark, of Moville, Carole Jackson and Cathy Steenson and husband, John, all of Council Bluffs; a son, Thomas, of Glenwood; four brothers, Bernard of Philippi, WV., Max and wife, Carolyn, of Mount Lake Park, Md., Lee and wife, Amelia, of Pittsburgh and Kent and wife, Coda, of Parkersburg, W.V.; a sister, Shirley Strum, and husband, Eugene, of Bellington, W.V.; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A wake service will be Sunday at 4 p.m. at Belford-O'Neill Funeral Home followed by visitation with the family until 5:30.

Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery with military rites conducted by American Legion Post No. 2.

Memorials may be offered to St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
