Winifred Catherine Uehle, daughter of Corneluis and Margarret (Hayes) Collins, was born
in Danbury September 10, 1894 and died July 16, 1968 at a Sioux City Hospital after a lingering illness. She had reached the age of 73 years 10 months and six, days.

She married J. A. Uehle February 15, 1918 at Danbury, and had lived there since 1937. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church at Danbury, St. Mary's Rosary Society and National Catholic Society of Foresters.

Survivors include the husband Jake A. of Danbury; 2 sons Paul of Gilman, Illinois, and Donald of Danbury; 11 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; 2 sisters, Sister Mary Irene Collins of Dnbuque, Iowa and Mrs. Dan (Josephine) Welte of Danbury and 1 brother, Joseph Collins of Danbury.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, one son, three brothens and one sister.

Funeral services were held on Friday, July 19, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Danbury with Father Edward Huffman officiating. Intermet was in St. Mary's Cemetery at Danbury under the direction of Walter Funeral Home.

The pallbearers were Andrew Seuntjens, Marvin Albertson, Orville Petersen, Joe Oberreuter, Roy Ceckayne and Bill Welte.
