Mrs. Isaac (Opal) Turman, 85, Red Feather Lakes, Colo. former Sioux City resident, died Aug. 10, 1983, in a Fort Collins, Colo. hospital.

Services were Friday in the Little Chapel in Red Feather Lakes. The ReV. C. Donald Cox, pastor of Littleton Baptist Church of Littleton, Colo. officiated. The body was cremated and the ashes will be buried in the Smithland, Iowa, Cemetery at a later date.

Mrs. Turman, the former Opal Overing, was born April 3, 1898, at Oto, Iowa.

She married Isaac Turman Dec. 4, 1917, at Onawa, Iowa. They made their home in Sioux City until 1938 when they moved to Beresford, S.D. They moved to Layton, Utah, in 1943. He died April 14, 1947, in Layton. In the 1970s, she moved to Red Feather Lakes.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Walter (Barbara) Hartman of Red Feather Lakes; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
