SIOUX CITY | Sarah E. Dahl, 95, a 71-year resident of Sioux City, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at Countryside Senior Living.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Andy Anderson officiating. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time Monday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Sarah was born on July 30, 1917, in East Chicago, Ind., to Arthur A. and Annie (Shanks) Green. She graduated from Hornick High School.

She was married to Donald Dahl on May 10, 1939, in Hornick, Iowa. He preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 1990, in Sioux City. She worked at American Popcorn for three years and as a seamstress for 24 years at Fishgall's.

Sarah enjoyed sewing, gardening and was a member and officer of Azure Chapter of Eastern Star. She was a member of the 1st Christian Church of Sioux City for more than 70 years.

Sarah is survived by her son, David and daughter-in-law, Evelyn Dahl of Las Vegas, Nev.; daughter, Sue and son-in-law, Dr. Ronald Reider of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; four grandchildren, Joshua Reider of Omaha, Seth Dahl of Redding, Calif., Meaghan Reider of Milwaukee, Wis., and Eamonn Reider of Chicago; two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and August Dahl of Redding, Calif.; two sisters, Peg Unkel of Derby, Kan., and Lucille Sullivan of Eugene, Ore.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and six siblings.
