SIOUX CITY -- Charles Sencenbaugh, 64, of Sioux City passed away peacefully on Dec. 18, 2011, in New Port Richey, Fla.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.

Chuck was born in Sioux City on May 18, 1947. He was the third of four children born to Harry and Virginia Sencenbaugh. He attended Joy Elementary School, East Junior and East High School. In high school, he held records in track and field. He entered the U.S. Air Force in 1967, where he served as an Airman First Class with the 185th in Vietnam until he was honorably discharged in 1969.

He completed the apprenticeship program with the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union in Sioux City. He worked for various plumbing companies, often traveling around the country for months at a time. He also owned and operated multiple small businesses in the Siouxland are,a including Pro Pipe and Rhonda's Place.

On Sept. 23, 1972, he married Linda Schmidt, and they had one daughter, Richelle. Although they were later divorced, Chuck and Linda remained friends.

Chuck loved fishing, golfing, hunting and stock car racing. He especially loved his daughter Richelle and his grandchildren, Lilly and Luke. Chuck was a generous man who gave to his family and friend without hesitation. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his daughter, Richelle Burr and her husband Brock; two grandchildren, Lilly and Luke; his two brothers, Ervin and his wife Rhonda and David; his sister, Sharon Lewis; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
