SERGEANT BLUFF -- Georgia F. Rounds, 74, of Sergeant Bluff passed away Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Salix, Iowa. Visitation with the family present will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the church. Georgia was born March 20, 1937 in Cherokee, Iowa, to George and Helen Godwin. Georgia was George and Helen's only child. She grew up and graduated from Aurelia, Iowa schools.

Georgia was united in marriage to David Rounds on Dec. 21, 1972. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her parents, husband, children, grandchildren and her many friends.

Georgia loved music, dancing, reading and her horses and dogs she had throughout the years. Georgia's favorite holiday was Christmas, as it was a time when all her family was together.

Survivors include her six children, Jeff Coombs and wife Kathy of Rockford, Minn., Kathy Smith and husband Doyle of Sergeant Bluff, Gary Coombs and wife Karen of New Smyma Beach, Fla., Kyla Holton of Onawa, Iowa, Joel Coombs and wife Hallie of Hutto, Texas, and Dawn Rounds and fiance Todd Cole of Fremont, Neb.; 22 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, George and Helen Godwin.
