SIOUX CITY -- Donna M. Fox, 81, of Sioux City passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011 at her home, comforted by family.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at The Church of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, with the Rev. Jim Tiegs, a nephew of Donna, as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present at 6 p.m., and a vigil service at 7 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, 6200 Morningside Avenue. Donna was born on Oct. 9, 1930 in Wessington Springs, S.D., to Mathew H. and Susan (Brandt) Kleinschmidt.

She was employed by the state of South Dakota for three years, where she met and later married Robert "Bob" Fox on Feb. 15, 1950 in Yankton, S.D. Donna was a proud homemaker and took pride in raising her family. She worked over 10 years as a photo retouch artist for Genelli Studio and worked for the Sangamon Card Company for over 25 years as a representative.

Donna volunteered with W.A.C.O. in Siouxland for 20 years, giving assistance to those less fortunate. She was an officer in the Ladies Guild of The Church of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, and was proud of her membership to the church. Donna enjoyed gardening, collecting Barbie dolls and Angels, and spending time with her 36 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Donna is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Fox of Sioux City; her children, Robert Michael "Mike" Fox and his wife Penny of Sioux City, Richard John Fox and his wife Echo of Omaha, Jean Ann Carstens and her husband Dean of Minden, Neb., Jeffrey Dale Fox and his wife Laurie of Sioux City, and John Henry Fox and his wife Roni of Sioux City; sisters, Margaret Foot and Lavaun Schneider and her husband Paul, all of Sioux City; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and her feline companion, Kitty.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Matt Kleinschmidt; and sister, Mary Ellen Kleinschmidt.

Memorials may be offered to Hospice of Siouxland or to the family.
