HINTON, Iowa — Paul F. Byers, 55, Route 2, Hinton, died Tuesday in a Sioux City hospital. He suffered an apparent heart attack at his home Monday night.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Immaculate Conceptioh Church at Moville. The Rev. Henry V. Weitner will officiate. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Wink-Sparks post 303, American Legion.

The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in the McCulloch Funeral Home at Moville.

Mr. Byers was born Dec. 10, 1923, at Kingsley. He was a graduated from Moville High School.

He married Catherine Becker Sept. 1, 1948, at Ida Grove. They farmed 10 miles northwest of Moville for about 25 years and he had assisted his son in the Moville Hardware for the last 4 1/2 years.

He served for four years in the United States Coast Guard during World War II, stationed in Connecticutt, Florida and Hawaii. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church.

Survivors include the widow; five daughters, Mrs. Charles (Linda) Weinert and Miss Rita, both of Omaha, Mrs. Dan (Thera) Mahr of Merrill, Miss Marcia of Sioux City and Miss Julia at home; two sons, Michael of Movilie and Gary at home and four grandchildren,
