Fred H. Brubaker, 74, of Salem, Ore., formerly of Sioux City, died Thursday, Dec. 24, 1998, in Salem.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. James Pointer of Sioux City Baptist Church officiating. There will be no visitation in Sioux City. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Virgil T. Golden Chapel in Salem. Local arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Perasso Funeral Home.

Mr. Brubaker was born July 31, 1924, in Sioux City, the son of Frederick and Mae (Moore) Brubaker. He graduated from Central High School in 1942. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He moved to Salem in 1990.

He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Salem.

Survivors include his wife, Arlene; four sons, Gary D. of Layton, Utah, Melvin H. of Phoenix, Ariz., Frederick M. of Salem and Harvey W. of Diamond Bar, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to American Cancer Society, Marion County Unit, Salem.
