Funeral services for Ralph E. Christenson, 63, Moville, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the McCulloch Funeral Home at Moville. The Rev. Dr. John A. Dowd, pastor of Eldridge United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Banner Cemetery at Lawton, Wink Sparks Post 303, American Legion, will conduct military graveside rites.

Mr. Christenson died Friday at a veteran Hospital in Des Moines after a long illness. He was born Sept 18, 1907, near Arthur, Iowa in Ida County. His family later moved to Lawton, where Mr. Christenson attended Banner Township schools and Lawton High School.

For three years he served in the Army Air Corps. He enlisted in October 1942 and served as an airplane engine mechanic. He was discharged as a sergeant in 1945.

Mr. Christenson was a member of Wink-Sparks Post 303 at Moville, the Lawton Flying Club, and the Eldridge Evangelical United Brethren Church. He held several offices in the Legion post, was County Legion officer and recently received a citation for his activity in Legion membership drives. This year he was awarded a life membership in the Wink-Sparks Post.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Otto (Mathilda) Eisentraut of Moville; a sister, Mrs. Harold E. (Fern) Livermore of Sioux City, and a brother, Richard W. of Kingsley, Iowa.
