MOVILLE, Iowa — Beryl Clifton Christensen, 77, of Moville died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, at his residence.

Memorial services will be 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City, with the Rev. Harold Werley officiating. The body was cremated. Arrangements were under the direction of the Neptune Society of Iowa.

Mr. Christensen was born May 16, 1924, in Sioux City, the son of Lars and Elva (Stinton) Christensen. He graduated from Central High School.

He married Loretta Osipowicz on June 2, 1946. They lived in Sioux City. Loretta died July 21, 1991.

Mr. Christensen served in World War II with the 8th Air Force as an engineer on a B-24, achieving the rank of technical sergeant. He worked at Sioux-Land Bus Lines and then at the Glass House until his retirement. Mr. Christensen moved to Moville three years ago.

Beryl enjoyed golfing, and watching golf and football on television. His biggest pleasure was spending time with his family.

He is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Kay and Dan Parker of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Jana and Bucky Jahn of Moville; four grandchildren, Danay Parker and Brandin Parker, both of Sioux Falls, and Ginger Jahn and Gina Jahn, both of Moville.

He also was preceded in death by his mother and father, Lars and Elva Christensen; and a grandson, Shane Christopher Parker.
