Clifford L. Campbell, 56, of Sioux City died Tuesday, April 22, 1997, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Billy Sunday Memorial Tabernacle, with the Rev. Eugene Dollar Jr., the Rev. G. Roy "Glee" Lockwood, the Rev. Ronald E. Batchelor and the Rev. James G. Thomas Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Christy, Smith and Hockenberry Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Campbell was born Nov. 17, 1940, in Moville, Iowa, the son of Paul and Mildren (Christensen) Campbell. He was raised in the Moville and Climbing Hill, Iowa areas. He graduated from Climbing Hill High School in 1959 and attended Bob Jones University.

He served in the U.A. Air Force Guard during the Korean War. He moved to Sioux City in 1959.

Mr. Campbell married Connie J. Lockwood on June 27, 1964, in Sioux City.

He was employed with Mobil Oil from 1970 to 1982, the American Family Insurance from 1982 to 1986 and the Countryside Retirement Home from 1987 until his retirement in 1995.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dr. Kevin of Sioux City and Chris and his wife Katrina, of Chicago; two daughters, Brenda and her husband, Jim Anderson, of Greenwood, S.C., and Susan Campbell of Sioux City; a grandson, Ethan Campbell; a brother and his wife, Don and Barbara of Sioux City; and two sisters and their husbands, Nancy and Gene Gutwein of Columbia, Mo., and Connie and Wilber Jordon of Sioux City.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather, Edward Myers.
