Rose A. Davis, 99, of Fresno, Calif., formerly of Sioux City, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 1998, in Fresno following a long illness.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Chapel of First Presbyterian Church in Sioux City, following a private burial in Pierson, Iowa. The Rev. Ronald T. Allis will officiate. There will be no visitation. The Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel in handling arrangements.

Mrs. Davis was born Sept. 27, 1898, near Kingsley, Iowa, the daughter of David and Annie (Milton) Blair. She was raised in Kingsley and Sioux City.

She married Irwin 0. Jacobson on June 14, 1922. The couple divorced in 1941.

She married Clarence N. Davis on Jan. 19, 1949. He died April 26, 1975, in Sioux City. She moved to Fresno in 1983, residing with her daughter, and later a granddaughter.

She was member of First Presbyterian Church for 81 years, and held memberships in several community organizations.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Lois and Jack Heitzman of Fresno; a son and his wife, Robert and Marcia Jacobson of Sioux City; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Memorials may be directed to First Presbyterian Church.
