DANBURY, IA - Roger James Bjorholm, 49, of Marble Falls, TX, and formerly of Danbury, IA passed away May 13, 2009, at his residence.

A Celebration of Life was held on Friday, May 15, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home in Kingsland, TX.

Visitation and the vigil wake service were held on Monday, May 18, 2009, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Danbury.

The Funeral Mass was held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Danbury with Rev. Terry Roder officiating. Julie Hamann provided the musical accompaniment.

Local arrangements were under the direction of Armstrong Funeral Home of Mapleton and Danbury.

Roger James "Fingers" Bjorholm was born on June 8, 1959, to Harry and Annetta (Buckley) Bjorholm in Battle Creek. He grew up in Danbury.

On July 6, 2001, Roger and Renee Clough were united in marriage in Danbury. The couple resided in Montrose, CO, before moving to Marble Falls, TX.

Roger was a press operator for the Montrose Daily Press from 2002 until 2007. He then was employed at Highland Publishing Company at Marble Falls.

He was a member of Delta Church of God in Colorado.

Family members left to remember Roger include his wife, Renee Clough-Bjorholm; his mother, Annetta Bjorholm; 2 daughters, Sr. Airman Erica Renee Bridges and husband SSGT John Bridges, and Dana Jeanne Gabbard and husband Josh Gabbard; a son, Jon Merriman; 4 brothers, Leo Bjorholm, Tom Bjorholm, Larry Bjorholm, and Neil Bjorholm; and 2 grandchildren, Bronte and Jon Reece.

Roger was preceded in death by his father, Harry Bjorholm.
