HOLSTEIN, Iowai--Eva G. Heilman, 102, of Holstein died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 1997, at the Horn Memorial Hospital in Ida Grove, Iowa.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Cushing, Iowa, with the Rev. Corsorcia Sanchez officiating. Burial will be in Cushing City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at the Barker Funeral Home in Holstein.

Mrs. Heilman was born April 15, 1895, in Cushing, the daughter of Frederick and Minnie (Stoltz) Baumann. She graduated from Cushing High School in 1913. She received her teaching certificate and taught rural school for five years in the Cushing area.

She married Harry Heilman on Feb. 16, 1921, in Onawa, Iowa. The couple farmed on the Century family farm in Battle Township near Holstein for 69 years. He died Nov. 3, 1990.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the F. Roger Baumann American Legion Auxiliary Post 624. She was also a 4-H leader in Battle Township for several years. She enjoyed gardening and needlework.

Survivors include four sons and their wives, John and Sylvia of Ida Grove, Ross and Jeanette of Rockwell City, Iowa, Harry "Dan" and Shirley of Logan, N.M. and Bob and Marilyn of Cushing; three daughters and their husbands, Ruth and George Hoffman of Ida Grove, Doris and Everett Still of Cushing and Wilma and Donald Hammer of Arthur, Iowa; 25 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Steven Heilman; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Fred and Ross Baumann.
