DANBURY, Iowa - Marian H. Isom, 62, of Danbury died Sunday, Jan. 4, 1998, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Danbury Methodist Church. Burial will be in Cushing, Iowa Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the Church. Christensen-Ciha Funeral Home of Ida Grove, Iowa is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Isom was born Nov. 2, 1935, near Battle Creek, Iowa, the daughter of Orville and Helen (Luscombe) Thompson. She graduated from Danbury Public School in 1954.

She married Glen Isom on April 14, 1957, in Battle Creek. She was employed as a nurses aid at Billy Sunday Retirernent Home and Elaine's Nursing Home in Sioux City and at Maple Heights in Mapleton, Iowa. She was also employed as a nurses aid and medication technician at Medical Lodge in Neosho, Mo.

In 1990, she was selected as Med Tech of the Year for the state of Missouri and named Medical Lodge's Employee of the year.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Dawn Isom and Kelly and her husband Scott Schmidt, all of Danbury; two sons, Scot of Kansas City, Mo. and Gene and his wife Nancy of Neosho, Mo.; five grandchildren, Colt, Jeremy and Robin Schmidt and Ashley and Isaiah Isom; three sisters and their husbands, Evelyn and Elmer Rose of Lake City, Iowa, Betty and Alroy Towne of Danbury and Thelma and Stan Thompson of Kansas City, Kan.; and three brothers, Orville. Thompson of Oceanside, Calif, Don and his wife Jeanne Thompson of Aledo, Ill. and Tim and his wife Gail Thompson of Pelican Lake, Wis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two children, Robin and Doyle; a brother, Dan Thompson; and her twin sister, Merle Ann Thompson.
