Dale R. Evans, 45, of Sioux City, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999, of injuries suffered in a train accident.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Harley Wakeley officiating. Burial will be in Cushing Cemetery, Cushing, Iowa. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., and aprayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Evans was born July 27, 1954, in Sioux City, the son of John and Edith (Thompson) Evans. He lived in Sioux City most of his life.

He worked for Cimarron Coach of Iowa. He also was a self employed scrap iron dealer for many years.

Survivors include his mother, of Lindsay, Neb.; two brothers: Greg of Lindsay and Ronald and his wife, Donna, of Pender, Neb.; a sister and her husband, Dolly and Michael Parnell of Greenfield, Mo.; three daughters; a granddaughter; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Brian John Evans; a sister, Sandra Evans; and his father.

Pallbearers will be Mike Schenzel, Cory Parry, Herbert Mothershead, Ronnie and Robert Grove and Gene Moffit.
