Danbury, IA - Pauline T. Meier, 62, of Seattle, Washington and formerly of Danbury, Iowa passed away August 29, 2012, at Seattle. The funeral Mass will be Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Danbury with Rev. Dan Greving officiating. Burial will be in the Danbury Catholic Cemetery with military graveside honors provided by the American Legion Carlson-Frum Post #336 of Danbury. Visitation will be Tuesday at the
church one hour prior to the Mass. Armstrong Funeral Home of Danbury and Mapleton is in charge of the arrangements. The full obituary can be found at www.armstrongfuneral.com where on line condolences can be directed to the family.Pauline Therese Meier was born March 20, 1950,at Danbury, Iowa the daughter of Casper and Caroline(Uhl) Meier. She attended Danbury Catholic School until her senior year, when she transferred to Heelan High School in Sioux City, where she graduated in 1968.
Following her graduation she entered the U.S. Army in 1968 and served several years until she received a medical discharge due to being injured in a vehicle accident.
She attended college and received degrees in Police Science and Psychology. She worked for a time in Wichita, Kansas and Manassas, Virginia.
She was a member of the Virginia National Guard and also the Iowa National Guard.
Pauline is survived by her twin brother, Paul Meier of Omaha, Nebraska; a sister, Corrine Griffin and her husband, Tom of Broad Run, Virginia; a brother-in-law, Alois Tschampl of Hinton, Iowa; several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Carol Tschampl.
