SIOUX CITY | Vicki A. (Geary) Youngberg, 54 of Dyer, Ind., formerly of Sioux City, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 31, 2012, at St. Margaret Hospital in Dyer, due to complications of pneumonia and sepsis.

A funeral mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Nativity Church in Sioux City. A luncheon will immediately follow in the parish center. Arrangements are under the direction of Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, St. John, Ind.

Vicki was born in Le Mars, Iowa, on July 25, 1958. She graduated from East High School in Sioux City in 1976 and Wayne State College in 1998. Vicki was the Accounting Process Supervisor for Gelita USA where she was employed for more than 10 years.

Vicki enjoyed traveling around the U.S. with her husband, spending time with her grand daughters, shooting sports, and beating her friends and family in Scrabble.

She is survived by her husband, Steve; her parents, Thomas (Leo) and Mary (Eileen) Geary; her daughter and son-in law, Kristi and Justin; her beloved granddaughters, Grace Kelley and Ginger Sophia Bruno; her brother, John Geary; and sister Jolene (Randy) Munro.

Vicki was preceded in death by her sister, Kathy; her mother and father-in-law, Howard and Delores; and nieces Lisa and Emily.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the ICU team at St. Margaret Hospital for their support and care during this difficult time.
