Hornick, Iowa—Marie Teel, 87, of Hornick died Monday in a hospital in Onawa.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Hornick Methodist Church. The Rev. Gary DeGeest will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. today in the Wood Funeral Home in Sloan, where a prayer service will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Mrs. Teel, the former Marie Steele, was born November 27, 1896, at Holly Springs. She married Vess Teel September 24, 1919, at Onawa. He died July 6, 1963 at Onawa. She was a lifetime area resident until moving to the Whiting Nursing Home in 1982.

Survivors include three sons, Eldon and Dale both of Hornick and Dwight of Whiting; one brother, Walter of Hornick; one sister, Mrs. Chester (Nina) Harbeck of Sioux City, 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
