WHITING, Iowa -- Richard W. "Dick" Theeler, 49, of Whiting died of cancer Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001, at his residence.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel in Sioux City, with the Rev. Karen Handke officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Theeler was born July 28, 1952, in Sioux City. He had lived in Salix, Iowa, for 15 years and had been a resident of Whiting for 11 years. He was employed with Patterson Farms for 15 years.

Survivors include a son, Cory Theeler of Whiting; daughters, Carrie Anne and her husband, Chris Weber of Greenfield, Iowa, and Nicole Mae Theeler of Whiting; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Robinson of Sioux City; a grandson, Cayden Weber of Greenfield; a brother and his wife, Donald and Lisa Theeler of Hot Springs, Mont.; a sister and her husband, Linda and Rick Classon of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Lorraine Theeler.
