CORRECTIONVILLE, Iowa — Gerald P. Flemming, 83, of Correctionville died Thursday, July 6, 1995, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's, Catholic Church in Anthon, Iowa. The Rev. James Tigges of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Danbury, Iowa, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at 11 a.m, to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary, at the Barker funeral Home in Correctionville.

Mr. Flemming was born June 28, 1912, in Sioux City, the son of Paul and Mary (Carr) Flemming. He graduated from Correctionville High School in 1932 and married Mary Margaret Jones Aug. 10, 1942, in South Sioux City. She died Nov. 25, 1986. He ran Flemming Oil Service of Correctionville during the 1960s, operating a tank wagon and service station at various times. He farmed from 1968 until his retirement in 1974.

Mr. Flemming was a memter of the armed services.

Survivors include two sons, Terry of Morgan Hill, Calif., and David and his wife Debra of LaGrange Park. Ill.; a daughter and her husband, Mary and James Gine of Panillion, Neb.; a brother, Paul Wilford Flemming, and a sister, Irene Hart, both of Correctionville; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Leo and Clarence; and four sisters. Pauline and Lucille Fleming, and Kathleen Burnham and Vivian Sevening.
