DANBURY, Iowa — Glenn T. Schimmer, 69, of Danbury died Sunday, Aug. 23, 1998, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Danbury, with the Rev. David Hogan officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Tuesday, with a rosary at 10 a.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Christensen-Ciha Funeral Home in Battle Creek, Iowa.

Mr. Schimmer was born May 6, 1929, in Sioux City, the son of Willam and Ann (Maguire) Schimmer. He attended Danbury Country School. He served in the Armed Forces in Korea.

He farmed with his parents in the`Danbury area and moved into Danbury in 1966.

Survivors include numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Roger.
