Jasmine Marie Kleve, 24, of Sioux City lost her battle to mental illness after many years and died on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. James United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ryan Christenson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the church. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Funeral Home.

Jasmine was born on Feb. 26, 1988, in Sioux City. She is the daughter of Janene Gorsett and Jeffrey Kleve. She was raised in Sioux City and graduated from East High School. She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church.

Jasmine enjoyed sports during her school years and played soccer, hockey and ran track. Jasmine so enjoyed playing with her little brother, going out with friends, shopping, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her parents, Janene Gorsett of Sioux City and Jeffrey and Shelly Kleve of Prior Lake, Minn.; her twin brother, Scott Kleve; sister, Sarah Kleve; and brother, Marcus Gengler; her grandparents, Marc and Freda Gorsett of Sioux City, and Linda and Larry Kleve of Dakota City; aunts and uncles, Jeff and Shawn Gorsett, Jennifer and John Winquist, Janette and Tony Heiner, Robert and Ann Kleve; cousins, Jayson and Trisha Winquist, Jessique and Dustin Steele; Skyler, David, Micha, Andrew, Mary, Shayenne, Mercedes, Elizabeth, and Natalie Gorsett; Austin and Aleck Heiner; and best friend, Kelsey Schoneck, along with other extended family and friends who were so supportive of her.
