HORNICK, Iowa — Dustin S. Nitzschke, 17, of Hornick died Sunday, July 26, 1998, in rural Hinton, Iowa, of injuries suffered in an automobile accident.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bethel Lutheran Church in Lawton, Iowa, with the Rev. Bruce Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Banner Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8:30 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of McCulloch Funeral Home in Moville, Iowa.

Dustin was born Jan. 8, 1981, in Sioux City. He was raised in the Lawton area, where he attended Lawton-Bronson School.

He moved to Hornick 1/2 years ago and attended Westwood High School in Sloan, Iowa. He would have been senior this fall.

He was employed with Concrete Complete in Lawton.

He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and the Bow and Arrow Club and participated in track and field at high school. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and trapping.

Survivors include his father and his special friend, Stuart and Karen of Hornick; his mother and stepfather, Marlene (Schweitzberger) and Dale Hughes of Lawton; a sister, Heidi Nitzschke of Lawton; paternal grandparents, Andrew and Deloris Nitzschke of Lawton; maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Minnetta Schweitzberger of Kingsley, Iowa; maternal great-grandmother, Lillian Olson of Lawton; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
