Ethel Laura (Bremer) Quintard, 91, of Sioux City died Tuesday, July 15, 1997, at a Sioux City nursing home following a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Christy Smith and Hockenberry Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jim Nelson, pastor at Third Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Banner Township Cemetery at Lawton, Iowa. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Quintard was born April 12, ,1906, in Lawton, Iowa. She graduated from Lawton High School in 1924 and attended Morningside College, earning her teaching certificate.

She married Harold Quintard on May 27, 1925, in Sioux City. He died Sept. 25, 1979. She moved to Sioux. City in 1945. She was employed at various department stores in the Sioux City area.

She was a member of Third Presbyterian Church in Sioux City. She enjoyed playing cards and dancing at the Senior Citizen Center.

Survivors include a daughter, Janice McMullen of Sioux City; four grandchildren, Mike and Bob Thompson, LeAnn Kuester, and Laurie McMullen; eight great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; two sisters; and a brother.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter; two infant sons; a brother; three sisters; and an infant sibling.
