Gladys Nellie (Johnson) Christiansen, 95, of Lawton died Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997, at the Sunrise Manor in Sioux City.

Services will be Tuesday at Elliot Creek Presbyterian Church in Bronson, Iowa, with the Rev. Bruce Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Banner Township Cemetery at Lawton.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the services Tuesday at the church. Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel is in charae of the arrangements.

Mrs. Christiansen was born May 2, 1902, in Bronson. She received her teaching certificate from Morningside College and taught country school. She married Carl Christiansen on Sept. 17, 1930. He died Sept. 16, 1985.

She was a member of Elliot Creek Presbyterian Aid, the Birthday Club and the Royal Neighbors.

Survivors include two nieces and their husbands, Adeline and Harold Robinson of Lawton and Betty and Raymond Stephens of Sherman, Texas.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, Hans, Fred, Kermit, Carl and Erwin Johnson; and a sister, Alta Rasmussen.
