LAWTON, Iowa — Dorothy J. "Babe" Glover, 73, of Lawton died, Sunday, Nov. 23, 1997, at a Sioux City hospital following a lengthy illness.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Community Presbyterian Church in Lawton, with the Rev. Robert E. Peters officiating. Burial will be in Banner Township Cemetery. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. today at the McCulloch Chapel to Moville, Iowa.

Mrs. Glover was born Feb. 6, 1924, in Sioux City, the daughter of Yale and Hazel (King) Finley. She was raised in Sioux City and graduated from Central High School in 1942. She attended Tri-State and NBT Business College.

She married Randall Tracy in February 1945. She married J.W. "Bill" Glover on July 1, 1950, in South Sioux City. The couple moved to Lawton in 1952.

She was employed as a secretary and worked for a law firm prior to working at Fairmont Foods for many years.

She was a member of Community Presbyterian Church and United Presbyterian Women. She was a 4-H leader and Cub Scout leader for many years. She enjoyed geneology, sewing and crafts.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Randy Tracy of Sioux City and Toni and her husband, David Cooper, of Moville; a son and his wife, Mark and Karen Glover of Hornick, Iowa; five grandchildren, Traci, David and Amber Cooper and Brandi and Carli Glover; two step-sisters, Marge and Bernice Anstine, both of Kingsley, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
