Cecelia T. Hamann, age 95, of lda Grove, lA, died Monday, March 7, 2011, at Willow Dale Wellness Village in Battle Creek, lowa.

Visitation with the family present will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2011, from 5:00- 8:00 p.m. at Christensen-Huffman Funeral Home in 1da Grove. There will be a Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in lda Grove under the direction of Christensen-Huffman Funeral Homes. The Reverend David Hemann will officiate, with burial to follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, lda Grove.

Condolences may be sent online to www.christensenhuffman.com. Memorials in Cecelia's name may be directed to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church building fund.

Born September 11, 1915, in Woodbury County, lA, Cecelia T. Hamann was the daughter of Max and Anna (Reimer) Rosch. She attended, Living Springs,School in rural Woodbury County through the eighth grade. Before her marriage, Cecelia worked at the lda Grove Hospital and for Dr. and Mrs. Dressler.

On November 20, 1945, she was married to Bernard Hamann at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in lda Grove. Cel and Benny farmed near Mapleton for many years and took care of Cecelia's parents there. They were blessed with five children: Dick, Linda, Judy, Don, and Thomas. ln 1974,they moved to lda Grove. Cecelia cleaned Sacred Heart Catholic Church for many years as well as Midwest lndustries and several elderly ladies' homes.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the quilter's organization there. She made her home at Willow Dale Wellness Village in Battle Creek in 2010.

Survivors include four children, Dick (Connie) Hamann of Battle Creek, lA, Linda (Paul) Crom of Holdrege, NE, Judy Uhl and special friend Murel Miller of lda Grove, lA, and Don (Jane) Hamann of Battle Creek, lA; eight grandchildren, Stacy (Matt) Sieperda, Amy (Jed) Steele, Mike Crom, Tony (Michele) Crom, Dennis (Lori) Uhl, Ann (Jim) Kelly, Nick (Lori) Hamann, Dr. Kimberly(Dan) Edsen; 15 great-grandchildren, Regan, Taylor, and Madison Sieperda, Emma and Cash Steele, Brandon and J.D. Crom, Ben and Josie Uhl, Rebecca Kelly, and Parker, Owen, and Drew Hamann, and Grace and Caroline Edsen.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bernard in 1986; an infant son, Thomas; her parents; a grandson, Matthew Hamann; a great-granddaughter, Mia Hamann, a son-in-law, Greg Uhl; two brothers, Louis Rosch and Joseph Rosch; and a sister, Mary
Corbin.
