Tucson,AZ- Magdalene (Mohrhauser) Pollock, 89, of Tucson AZ, rejoined her husband and daughter in heaven on Sunday, February 6,2011.

Maggie was born on a farm west of Danbury, lA, on July 22,1921, to George and Lena (Ohlsen) Mohrhauser. She was baptized into the Catholic faith at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Danbury. She attended school in Oto, at St. Mary's and St. Patrick's in Danbury, and graduated from Danbury High School in 1941. After high school, Maggie graduated from Western Union College in LeMars. During her school years, Maggie was very
active in 4-H and won many awards for her Projects.

Maggie taught school in several one room country schools in the Danbury area and was the first lay teacher to teach at St. Mary's Catholic School in Danbury.

On December 27, 1943, Maggie was united in marriage to Aldeh H. "Doc" Pollock of Akron, lA, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Danbury. She and. Doc traveled and lived the world over while Doc served in the United States Air Force. During their time in the USAF, Maggie worked as procurement manager for the Air Force Commissaries. Upon Doc's retirement from the USAF, they continued to live in Tucson where Maggie worked as an accountant.

Maggie was preceded in death by her husband, Doc; dauhter Nancy; grandson Billie; her parents; 4 sisters, Ollie (Lou) Collins, Ann (Mel) Pithan, Jerlnie (Al) Schell, and Deanie Leo) Connor; and 6 brothers, George (Mary), Emmett (Lucy) Al (Adeline), Barney (Ellie), Charlie (Bernadine), Ray (Jean) Mohrhauser.

She is survived by her sons, George and Patrick; 6 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren all of Nevada and Arizona. Her brother, Richard "Dick" Mohrhauser of Mapleton and several nephews, nieces and cousins also survive her.

A vigil prayer service was held on Sunday, FebruarY 13, 2011, at Brings Funeral Parlor in Tubson, AZ, with Deacon Dennis Banke leading the Rosary.

The Funeral Mass was held on Monday, February 14,2011, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Tucson with Fr. Harry Ledwith as celebrant.

The graveside burial service followed at Our LadY of the Desert in Tucson. Pallbearers were her grandchildren.
