DANBURY, Iowa — Marvin M. Lee, 85, of Kansas City, Mo., formerly of Danbury, died Friday, Jan. 17, 1997, in Kansas City.

Services will be Tuesday in Kansas City. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Danbury, with the Rev. David Hogan officiating. Visitation, with the family present will be after 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Christensen-Ciha Funeral Home of Ida Grove, Iowa.

Mr. Lee was born June 16, 1911, in Volga, S.D., the son of George and Olive (Iddings) Lee. He married Mary Sokolowski on Sept. 4, 1939, in Danbury. She died Oct. 23, 1984. He was employed with Rath Packing Company in Waterloo, Iowa for 34 years, retiring in 1973. The couple moved to Kansas City in August 1984.

Survivors include a son and his wife, James and Dolores of Kansas City; four grandchildren, Teresa Ke Russett, Brian and Matthew Lee, and Maria Lee Legaard:, and a sister, Leone Godbersen of Ida Grove.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Lawrence, Paul and Myron.
