Services Held Wed. For Larry J. King

Services for Larry J. King, 55, of Bronson were held Wednesday April 28, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Movilie. Monsignor Roger J. Augustine officiated. Burial was at a later date in Anthon. McCulloch Funeral Home in Moville was in charge of arrangements.

The Immaculate Conception Choir sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In The Garden." Millie Wycoff was organist.

Honory caskethearers were Ray Peters, Andy Nitzschke and Gilbert "Pede" Downing.

Casketbearers were Ray Svenson, Loren Walker, Leant Robinson, Gale Pullen, Ron Ronfelt, Barry Thomas, Chuck Hayes and Ralph Johnson.

Mr. King was born March 16, 1944 in Sioux City, the son of Joe Arthur and Hazel Loretta (Sankey) King. He attended school in Bronson and graduated from Bronson High School in 1962. He served in the U.S. Army with the 133rd Infantry from 1962 to 1969. He married Diane Hanson on April 24, 1965 in Sioux City. He was self-employed with King Trucking and then owned and operated King's Locker in Lawton, Iowa.

He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served as Bronson town marshal for a few years and on the Lawton and Bronson Fire and Rescue.

Mr. King died Saturday April 24, 1999 in a Sioux City hospital of a sudden illness.

Survivors include his wife; his mother of Sioux City; a daughter, Kim King of Bronson: a son, Rob of Bronson, a brother, Joe of Bronson and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and an infant son, Tommy.
