Maude Marie Westhoff, 88, of Anthon died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999 at Correctionville Nursing and Rehab Center in Correctionville, Iowa.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at United Methodist Church in Anthon, with the Rev. Kent Kastler officiating, Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will he after 3 p.m, today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m, followed by an American Legion McNiff Auxiliary Unit 389 service at Armstrong Funeral Home in Anthon.

Mrs. Westhoff was born Sept.3, 1911, in Danbury, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Harriet (Williams) Fisher. She graduated from Oto (Iowa) High School in 1929., She graduated from beauty school in 1956.

She married Merrill Earnest on Jan. 15, 1936, in Onawa. She was employed with many restaurants in the area and operated Anthon Cafe for a time. Later the couple operated M and M Drive-In for many years, which was the first drive-in in Anthon. He died July 11, 1968, in Anthon.

She married Arnold Westhoff on June 6, 1972, in Le Mars, lowa. He died in 1990. She then returned to Anthon, where she lived until entering Correctionvilie Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was a member of United Methodist Church and American Legion NieNiff Auxiliary Unit 389.

Survivors include a sister, Hazel Ronfeldt of Smithland, Iowa: a sister-in-law Lucille Fisher of Anthon; two stepdaughters, Shirley Haupert of Atlantic, Iowa, and Jan Berkenpas of Fair Oaks, Calif.; five step-grandchiidren: six step-great¬grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Rowley and James; and three sisters; Alice, Emma and Flossie.

Pallbearers will he Dennis, Ronald, Steve and James Ronfeldt, Robert Fisher and Chuck French.
