CORRECTIONVILLE, Iowa — Louis Lee Sands, 76, of Correctionville was found dead Thursday, Oct 21, 1999, at his residence.

services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Anthon, Iowa with the Rev. Michael Harman officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m., at Armstrong Funeral Home in Anthon.

Mr. Sands , was born March 26, 1923, in Anthon, the son of John Henry and Anna (Beyer) Sands, He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He was raised and educated in the Anthon area.

He married Elnora M. Kollbaum on Jan, 2. 1947, in Climbing Hill, Iowa, The couple lived in Holstein, Moville, Osceola and Anthon communities, until moving to rural Correctionville in 1959. She died June 23, 1985.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Allyn and Bonnie of Anthom,a daughter Janice Henderson of Ottawa, Iowa; two grandchildren, Bryce Sands and Tami Lehmann; a great-grandchild; a step-grandson, David Henderson; step-great-grand-children; three brothers, Fred of Moville. Walter and his wife, Vivian of Butterfield, Minn. and John and his wife, Darlene of Moville and two sisters, Frieda Paulsen of Oto, Iowa, and Mary Kettlesen of Smithland, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law, David Henderson: a sister Annie Bolte: and four brothers, Rudolph, John, Oscar, Albert, and an infant brother.
