Sloan- , lowa-- Luella Norby,79,of Sloan died Tuesday, April 20,1999, at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Whiting,Iowa.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Christian Church in Sloan, with the Rev. Emery Killian officiating. Burial will be in Willow Township Cemetery, Holly Springs, Iowa. Visitation with the family present will be 6 to 8 p.m. today with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home in Sloan.

Mrs. Norby was born Dec. 29, 1919, in Battle Creek,Iowa, the daughter of John and Meta (Cartens) Hauschildt. She attended country sehool.

She married Walter Henneous in March 1941. She married Glen Norby in December 1961 in Pipestone, Minn. She was employed in various jobs in the Mapleton, Iowa area.

She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, sports and crossword puzzles.

Survivors include a daughter, Carol Forney of Sloan; two sons and their wifes, Gary and Kari Henneous of Sioux City and Richard and Betty Henneous of Holly Springs; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a brother, Ted Hauschildt of Schleswig, Iowa; a sister, Marie MCNeil of Mapleton; two sisters-in-law, Viola Hauschildt of Earlham, Iowa, and Bernice Hauschildt of Glendale, Ariz.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Rudy in infancy, Eddie and Harold Hauschildt; and three sisters, Ann Meredith; Johanna Lintin and Meta Ruchti.
