Clyde J. Robinson, 83, of Utah, formerly of Washta and Correctionville, Iowa, died Monday, Nov. 11, 1996, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Memorial services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the Grace United Methodist Church in Correctionville under the direction of the Barker Funeral Home. Burial with military rites will follow in Correctionville Cemetery.

Memorial services were held Nov. 14 in Salt Lake City under the direction of the Goff Mortuary of Midvale, Utah.

Mr. Robinson was born Nov. 14, 1912, in Washta, the son of Grover Cleveland and Violet P. Parsel Robinson. He participated in the broad jump and 100-yard dash in tournaments, and made All-State running back in 1932. Mr. Robinson Served in the United States Navy during World War II as a machinist mate 1st class. He married Colletta Gardener on May 6, 1933, in Sac City, Iowa. He married Shirley R. Givens on March 10, 1950, in Correctionville. Mr. Robinson worked as a catskinner and truck driver.

Mr. Robinson belonged to the Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley; three children from his first marriage, Clyde Jr., William Keith and Tommey Lee; three children from his second marriage, James Dale, Barbara J. and Ross Alan; a stepson, David Givens; 14 grandchildren; a brother, Raymond of San Diego, Calif.; and three sisters, Versa and Patricia, both of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Bonnie of Correctionville.
