SIOUX CITY | Louise E. Pynn, 91, formerly of Sioux City passed away peacefully Oct. 25, 2012, at her residence in Tulsa, Okla.

Services and burial were held Oct. 29 at Floral Haven Funeral Home in Tulsa.

Louise Elizabeth Miller was born on Oct. 12, 1921, in Adams, Wis., to Jerome and Leona Miller.

On Jan. 27, 1938, she married Gordon E. Pynn in Milwaukee, Wis. Just before their 70th wedding anniversary, Gordon passed away on Sept. 4, 2007. Louise and Gordon moved from Elgin, Ill., to Sioux City, where she worked as a Realtor for many years.

Louise enjoyed cooking, fishing, playing bridge, steak fries at Stone State Park with her friends and attending dog shows. She was especially proud of her Vizsla, Rusty. In the 1960s, if Rusty wasn't pheasant hunting with Louise's husband, Gordon, he would be with Louise participating in a dog show. Rusty won numerous awards throughout the Midwest and placed third in sporting breeds at Westminster, N.Y. It was her love for dogs that inspired her to be a big part of the Siouxland Kennel Club in Sioux City.

She is survived by her children, Norma and Clifford Hayden of Woodburn, Ore., Barbara and Brent Hartley of Norman, Okla., Gordon Jr. and Kathy Pynn of Sioux City, and David and Janet Pynn of Tulsa. Also left to cherish her memories are 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

Besides her husband, Louise was preceded in death by her brothers, Stanley and Norbert Miller; a sister-in-law, Betty Miller; and a great-grandson, Jeffrey Hayden.
