November 03, 2012SIOUX CITY | Marie Alice Gunderson, 95, of Sioux City passed away peacefully on Oct. 26, 2012, at home in Glendale, Ariz., with her son, Thomas, by her side.
She was born on Jan. 18, 1917, in Sioux City, to the late William and Amanda May (Hamel) Leckband.
She is survived by her only child, Thomas W. Gunderson; grandchildren, Tammy DeMarsilis, Pam Rohde and Lori Kretman; great-grandchildren, Cassie and Chelsea Campbell, Jonny, Jake, Jaxon and Zulfia Rohde, Jessica Slaikeu, Justin Neis, Henry Kretman; and one great-great-grandchild, Kennedy Slaikeu.
In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Gunderson; sisters, Margaret Wilson and Dorothy Jacobs; and brothers, George, William and Jack Leckband.
