He attended Joy School and East Junior High and graduated from East High School with the class of 1939. He attended Morningside College before leaving to serve in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War ll.

At the war’s end he returned to Morningside, where he met his bride-to-be, Beth. Guy graduated from Morningside and was united in marriage to Bethel Jean (Forsling) on Aug. 24, 1946. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He gave of himself generously expecting little in return. He was a model of goodness, gentleness and integrity and the world will miss him.

Guy was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Dorothy (Robert) Swift and Nancy (Charles) Everett; and his brother, Jack (Berneice) Nettleton.

Guy had been a resident of the Bernstein neighborhood at Sunrise since February 2010. His family is grateful for the loving care he received there and from Hospice of Siouxland.
