SIOUX CITY | Faye E. Kelly, 88, of Cottonwood, Ariz., formerly of Sioux City, passed away Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012.

A celebration of life service will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church in Clarkdale, Ariz. Arrangements are under the direction of Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood. An online guestbook is available to sign at www.westcottfuneralhome.com.

Faye was born on Feb. 25, 1924, to Charles and Clara Wingert, in Sioux City. She had four sisters and a brother. In 1941, Faye graduated from Central High in Sioux City.

In December 1945, she moved to Phoenix, Ariz. and married the love of her life, Walter C. Kelly. Mrs. Kelly was employed by Arizona Public Service and retired after 25 years of dedicated service. In September 1991, she and Walt moved to Cottonwood. and were known to many in the area.

While in the Phoenix area, Faye belonged to Scottsdale 43 Eastern Star and Qadish Temple 35, and Daughters of the Nile. Faye was a true gem in every sense of the word and was always available to help and care for others. Her life with Walter was a true love story, knowing each other since they were 15 years old and being married for 66 years; they were forever soul mates. Faye and Walter were devout members of Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church in Clarkdale.
