Bonnie A. Beightol, 73, of Sioux City died Friday, June 13, 1997, at her residence following a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Christy, Smith and Hockenberry Funeral Home, with Chaplain Susan Miller, of Hospice of Siouxland, officiating. Burial will be in Woodbury Township Cemetery at Sergeant Bluff. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, with the family present from 7 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mrs. Beightol was born March 22, 1924, in Missouri Valley, Iowa, the daughter of William and Anne (Jepson) Fuller. She moved with her family to Salix, Iowa for a brief time before moving to Sioux City. She graduated from Central High School.

She married David T. Beightol on June 16, 1945, in Sioux City. She was employed in the office of the sporting goods department at Bellas Hess Store for a few years. She was also employed in the cash office at J.C. Penney Company for 12 years, retiring in 1990.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and a former member of the Association of Business Women of America.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Tom and his wife Beatrix of West Des Moines, Garry of Lakewood, Colo., and Dean and his wife Michele of Superior, Colo.; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Larry.

Pallbearers will be Eugene Kelly, Verne Erskine, Maylon Chartier, Arnie Jasman, David Lyman, and Jerry Hesse.

Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Siouxland.
