Bertha Alice Camerer, 88, of Sergeant Bluff died unexpectedly Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, in Onawa, Iowa.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Community United Methodist Church in Sergeant Bluff, with Dr. Paul Samuelson officiating. Burial will be in Woodbury Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. today, with the family present 7 to 9 p.m. at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel.

Mrs. Camerer was born July 8, 1911, in Albaton, Iowa, the daughter of Jacob and Jenny Kauper. She attended school in Sloan, Iowa.

She married Adolph Camerer. She was employed in the cafeteria at Sergeant Bluff School System for 22 years. He died in January 1995.

She was a member of Community United Methodist Church and different church circles.

Survivors include a son, James of Sergeant Bluff; a sister, Liz Husby of Sergeant Bluff; a special friend, Lorine Miller of Sergeant Bluff; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.
