Opal Marie Wright, 80, of Sioux City, formerly of Correctionville, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2000, at Westwood Nursing and Rehab Center in Sioux City.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Barker Funeral Home in Correctionville, with the Rev. Consorcia A. Sanchez officiating. Burial will be in Correctionville Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wright was born Dec. 7, 1919, in Lawton, Iowa, the daughter of Earl and Capitola Chase.

She was raised in the Correctionville area.

She married Glenn E. Wright on Aug. 2, 1941. The couple farmed in the Anthon, Iowa, area from 1947 to 1956, when they moved to Sioux City. Her husband died in 1975.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Raymond and Sharon of St. George, Kan.; a brother, Marvin Chase of Sioux City; a sister, Vera Meissner of Pierson, Iowa; two grandchildren, Marc Wright and Michelle Hanchett; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald and four sisters, Helen, Nora, Viola and Florence.

Pallbearersr will be Robert Small, Donald Byers, Vance and Kathy Donnelly and Marvin and Richard Chase.
