CORRECTIONVILLE, Iowa — Henry George Groszkrueger, 70, of Correctionville died Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999, at his residence.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Salem Lutheran Church in Correctionville, with the Rev. Scott Meier officiating. Burial will be in Correctionville Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Correctionville.

Mr. Groszkrueger was born March 4, 1929, in Pierson, Iowa, the son of Alfred and Lilly (Mahrt) Groszkrueger. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

He was raised on the family farm and graduated from Correctionville High School in 1947.

He married Grace Fitch on Oct. 13, 1951. The couple farmed on the family farm. He also was employed as a hail claims adjustor, seed corn salesman, truck driver and school bus driver.

He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church and enjoyed antique tractors, tractor pulls, golfing and fishing.

Survivors include his wife; two sons and their wives, Greg "Buzz" and Sharen of Correctionville and Tom and Lana of Sioux City; two daughters and their husbands, Becky and Gary Bollmeyer of Correctionville and Trudy and Mark Keefer of Aurora, Colo.; four grandchildren, Shawn, Derek and Anna Groszlcrueger and Frankie Deeds; a great-granddaughter; and many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James.
