ANTHON, Iowa — Wayne G. Patterson, 69, of Anthon, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 1999, in Sioux City.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at United Methodist Church in Anthon, with the Rev. Kent Kastler officiating. Burial will be in Correctionville Cemetery, Correctionville, Iowa. Armstrong Funeral Home in Anthon is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Patterson was born May 5, 1930, at Anthon, the son of George and Rose (Benett) Patterson.

He attended Miller Center Country School. He lived and farmed on the same farm his entire life.

He married Alta Fick in September of 1954, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Mapleton, Iowa.

He was a lifelong member of United Methodist Church in Anthon.

He enjoyed raising cattle and restoring old farm machinery.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters and their husbands: Karen and David Bumsted of Westfield, Iowa, and Carol and Steve Brown of Anthon; four grandchildren: Jason and Jarrod Bumsted, and Kate and Br,anden Brown; three sisters: Margaret Scharnweber of Ankeny, Iowa, Mary Homolka of Omaha, and Maria Bolen and her husband, Donald, of Lakewood, Colo; and many other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Robert Wayne.
