PIERSON, Iowa — Florence Geraldine Wright, 86, of Pierson died Saturday, Jan, 31, 1998, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Church of Christ in Correctionville, Iowa with the Rev. Elmer Hodge officiating. Burial will be in Correctionville Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Barker Funeral Home in Correctionville.

Mrs. Wright was born April 15, 1911, the daughter of Frank and Sadie (Mahin) Keller, in Kingsley, Iowa. She graduated from Hinton High School in Hinton, Iowa and then moved with her family to Correctionville. She married Melvin Wright on Sept. 28, 1931, in Elk Point, S.D. The couple farmed between Cushing and Correctionville until 1955 when they moved to farm south of Pierson. In 1977, the couple moved into Pierson. She was I employed at the Locker in Kingsley and later in restaurants there and in Pierson. She enjoyed gardening and raising chickens. She also enjoyed working crossword puzzles and reading.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Larry and his wife, Patty, of Sioux City, and Steve and his wife, Oliva of Grinnell; a daughter, Cleone and her husband, Ron Perkins, of Pierson; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Francis Fullerton.
