Kathrine L "Kattie" Kellogg, 62, of Sioux City died Monday, Dec. 15, 1997, at Westwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a lengthy illneis.

Memorial services wi11 be at 3 p.m. Friday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with the Rev, A.T. Washington officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Correctionville Cemetery at Correctionville, Iowa. There will be no visitation.

Mrs. Kellogg was born Nov. 25, 1935, in Cherokee County in Iowa, the daughter of Elvin Sr. and Elizabeth (Boettger) Jenness. She graduated from Correctionville High School in 1953.

She married Walton Marshall Kellogg in 1955, in Sioux City. He died in 1958, in Sioux City.

She was a member of several country western bands in the area, singing and playing guitar. She was a radio guest several times of the band Timberroojans in the 1950s. She enjoyed her pet dogs.

Survivors include two sons, Arthur "Bud" and his wife, Kristi, of Marcus, Iowa, and Warren Michael of Cherokee, Iowa; two brothers, Floyd Jenness of Leavenworth, Kan., and Richard Edwards of Sioux City; two sisters and their husbands, Joyce and Raymond Saxen of Pierson, Iowa, and Marcella and Clifford Streed of LaBelle, Fla.; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Alvin "Chummy" Edwards; and a brother, Harold.
