CORRECTIONVILLE, Iowa — Shirley Jane Shever, 69, of Cushing, Iowa, formerly of Correctionville, died Saturday, Sept. 20, 1997 at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Grace United Methodist Church in Correctionville with the Rev. Consorcia Sanchez and the Rev. Dee Ann Klapp officiating. Biirial will be in Correctionville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer Service at 7 p.m., at the Barker Funeral Home in Correctionville.

Mrs. Shever was born July, 24, 1928 in Correctionville, the daughter of Orville Glen and Irene Fern (Goettsch) Watson. She graduated from Correctionville High School.

She married Robert Gray on Sept. 21, 1946, in Correctionville. He died Feb. 6, 1974. She married Maurice Shever on March 3, 1979 in Las Vegas, Nev. She was employed with the Correctionville News Office for many years.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and enjoyed antiques, crafts and traveling.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Steve Gray and his wife. Barb of Moville, Iowa, Mike Gray and his wife Mary and Keith Gray, all of Correctionville; two daughters, Barb and her husband Bernard Katelson of Correctionville and Denim Henderson of Cushing; her mother of Correctionville, a sister and her husband, Ardyth and Robert Fleyer of Galva, Iowa; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father.
